We spent one Saturday exploring the city of Kempten. Kempten is the largest city in the Allgaeu, with about 60,000 residents. It is one of the oldest (if not the oldest city in Germany). It was settled by the Romans about 2,000 years ago.
We spent the morning visiting the Kempten Market. A great farmer's market with all kinds of produce, meats, cheeses and breads.
After lunch at the market, we headed to the Burghalde Museum. This little museum teaches about the castles that were in this area and about life during Medieval Times.
The girls tried on some of the head-dresses.
